Elvis – please use the text from the Proofer’s Mark exercises. You have replaced it completely with other text, but the articles you are using don’t make as much sense as the text that is in that exercise. AND – I see typos in this text. So – please replace the text here with your typo-free text from Proofer’s Marks.
I would recommend you use the mission statement on the cover, it will sit in the space you are using for “Special 20th Anniversary Edition” quite well, and work well with the photo.
Text size – it seems too large for the column width – and your page margins are too small. So – please increase the margins on your master page (where they should be sitting, so they appear on each page), and decrease the pt size of your body copy so an average of 6-9 words sit on a line. Because you are talking to CEOs, I think you better stick to black body copy.
Shapes – you may have too many competing rectangles on your pages, and not enough negative space. Do you need all those quotes? Do the quotes need to sit inside white rectangles? I think, when you are working with the proper text, you will have fewer short articles and so the design will flow more easily between columns – not so choppy.
We’ll talk about the back cover in class… but I wonder if you would think about using a large white quote on top of the photo? This is a good opportunity to use a quote here because there is lots of space, and of course the back cover of anything is often read before the insides are.
