Pirperis_iPhone Grid Design
This layout was rather challenging because we were given quite a bit of text to work with, but not much space to put it all. After doing some research, I found that Central Asia Institute is more so targeting towards corporations and organizations. Not so much towards families and homes. With that in mind, I tried to give a professional, sophisticated look to the layout. I created the shapes with the slant edges, keeping that mountain theme throughout the design. I also pulled the different shades of blue from the photo since it was the more dominant color.

This is a very interesting design. It feel very uniform and geometric while at the same time, it doesn't. You have some of your element contained inside a blue shape, while the picture is like breaking out of the blue and the heading just flowing there. You have two of the blue shape going horizontally while the huge middle one goes diagonally. Overall it a very unique design and I like it. Great job. The only thing that I dont like about it is the padding for text box. The text box is just too close to an edge, making the design feel tight and suffocating on some area.
ReplyDeleteHi Eleni, I liked all of your design, but this one is my favor. Taking out the big block of text with small size of typeface :), everything else is looking great, mainly the placement, and direction of the shapes vs each other.
ReplyDeleteEleni, I really enjoy what you've done with this layout. You've made a really great sense of dimension with the different colored boxes with the drop shadows. The way you decided to put the type is also interesting, and it definitely has good hierarchy. The only thing I would consider thinking about is finding a different typeface for the main heading just to add a little more effect to it.
