Revisions, and iPhone Layout Design

So this week was tough for me, as far as time management, but anyway, I finally got all my layouts done. The biggest obstacle for me was getting my computer to function correctly while I wasn't at school, so I apologize. Enough of that, here are my two revised versions of my previous layouts, along with my iPhone layout. For the iPhone, I cut out some of the text, since it being smaller, most articles on the smaller screen would have a read more link to expand the rest of the text you're reading. So with that in mind, I tried it out.

  1. Hilayna – you are working with the same set of colors, typographic decisions, and background in each layout, even as the assignment was asking you to design in a broader approach. So – each of your designs share the same weaknesses (as well as strengths). It’s a bit of a gamble, no? I do question the headline font – it is hard to read in general, but very hard to read at small sizes unless used black on white. Of the 3 layouts, I believe the second is the most successful – simply based on readability. So – moving forward to your newsletter design please look at the strengths of this approach to replicate. Strengths: interesting background and readable body copy on white.
